Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Takes Legal Action Against Film Extortion

Mumbai, September 15 – In a strong stand against malicious practices in the Indian film industry, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE) has initiated legal action against individuals allegedly attempting to extort money from the production house. The company, led by filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, asserts that these individuals threatened to tarnish the reputation of their films, directors, and lead actors if their demands for payment were not met.

In a public statement released on Monday, NGE announced that it had gathered credible evidence, including call recordings, which revealed these coercive attempts. “We recently came across evidence—including call recordings—indicating that a few individuals were demanding money and threatening to malign the reputation of our films, directors, and lead actors if their demands were not met. We believe such behavior warrants investigation by the appropriate authorities,” the statement read.

NGE has since referred the matter to investigative agencies to ensure appropriate legal action is taken. The production house clarified that its actions are specifically aimed at targeting these extortion attempts and not at silencing genuine film critics or independent reviewers. The company remains committed to supporting free speech and constructive criticism within the film community, reinforcing that its stance is strictly against fraudulent and malicious behavior.
