New Delhi [India]: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda, on Saturday convened a high-level meeting with Chief Ministers and Health Ministers of all States and Union Territories to discuss the government’s 100-day Intensified TB Elimination Campaign.
Focus on Collaboration and Monitoring

Participation of Key Stakeholders
The meeting saw the participation of Chief Ministers from states including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, and Uttarakhand, alongside health ministers from various states and Union Territories. The collaborative discussions aimed to align efforts at the national and state levels to intensify the fight against tuberculosis.
Community Mobilization for TB Elimination
Highlighting the importance of a community-driven approach, Nadda called for broad-based mobilization efforts to support the campaign. He underscored the critical role of state governments in leveraging local institutions and leadership to achieve the goal of TB elimination.
Conclusion
The Intensified TB Elimination Campaign reflects the central government’s commitment to eradicating tuberculosis through a coordinated and well-resourced approach. The engagement of multiple stakeholders and proactive planning for uninterrupted medication supplies is expected to significantly bolster India’s fight against TB.
