Mumbai: The iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai has been illuminated in the colours of the Indian tricolour to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, launched by India on May 7 in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, which claimed 26 innocent lives.
Speaking on the tribute, Central Railway’s CPRO Dr. Swapnil Nila said:
“Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) illuminated in the colours of the tricolour to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. Central Railway salutes the armed forces.”
In addition to CSMT, the Railway’s Heritage Building in Mumbai was also lit up in Tiranga hues, symbolising national pride and paying homage to the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces.
The Ministry of Railways, in a post on X, shared:
“The Railway’s Heritage Building at Mumbai glows in Tiranga hues, a proud tribute to Operation Sindoor and a shining salute to the valour and sacrifice of our Armed Forces.”
PM Modi: “A New India With a Decisive Policy”
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed air warriors and soldiers at Adampur Air Force Station, hailing Operation Sindoor as a testament to India’s policy, intent, and decisive capability.
“When the Sindoor of our sisters and daughters was wiped away, we crushed the terrorists in their hideouts,” PM Modi declared, reinforcing India’s firm stance against terrorism.
He added:
“This India wants peace, but if humanity is attacked, then this India also knows how to destroy the enemy on the war front.”
In his national address on Monday, PM Modi outlined that India’s precision strikes targeted terrorist infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), followed by India’s successful defence against Pakistan’s retaliatory moves.
This tribute at Mumbai’s historic railway landmarks stands as a glowing symbol of national pride, unity, and unwavering respect for the armed forces who executed Operation Sindoor with precision and bravery.
