Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 21: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Mumbai Police recorded the statement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pravin Darekar in connection with the ongoing investigation into the MVA ‘conspiracy’ case. The probe is focused on allegations against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Darekar appeared before Joint Commissioner Satyanarayan Chaudhary, who is leading the SIT investigation. The Maharashtra government had earlier formed this SIT to look into an alleged conspiracy aimed at framing Mahayuti leaders, including Fadnavis, Shinde, and others, during the tenure of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
Satyanarayan Chaudhary, the Joint Commissioner of Police for Law & Order in Mumbai, is heading the SIT team, which has been given 30 days to submit its report to the government.
