MP CM Mohan Yadav Confident Of BJP Victory In Delhi, Highlights Wildlife Conservation Efforts

A day after polling for the Delhi Assembly elections concluded, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would form the next government in the national capital.

CM Yadav also criticized the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that both parties had left Delhi in a poor state.

“BJP is going to form the government in Delhi. The way Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked, he has won the hearts of the public. The people of Delhi are disappointed with the work done by the Congress and AAP. I am confident that BJP will come to power on February 8,” he told media.

Polling for all 70 Delhi Assembly seats concluded on Wednesday, recording a voter turnout of 60.42%. Most exit polls predict a BJP victory, with the ruling AAP trailing behind, while Congress is expected to continue its poor electoral performance.

Exit polls have projected varied outcomes, with some suggesting a comfortable BJP majority while others indicate a close contest.

  • P-MARQ exit poll: BJP 39-49 seats, AAP 21-31 seats, Congress 0-1 seat
  • Matrize exit poll: BJP 35-40 seats, AAP 32-37 seats, Congress 1 seat
  • Peoples Pulse exit poll: BJP 51-60 seats, AAP 10-19 seats, Congress 0 seats
  • People’s Insight exit poll: BJP 40-44 seats, AAP 25-29 seats, Congress 0-1 seat
  • WeePreside exit poll: AAP 46-52 seats, BJP 18-23 seats, Congress 0-1 seat

The final results will be declared on February 8. AAP has been dominant in the last two Delhi Assembly elections, winning 62 out of 70 seats in 2020, while BJP secured eight. Congress, which once ruled Delhi for 15 years, failed to win any seats in the past two elections.

Wildlife Conservation Efforts in Madhya Pradesh

Apart from politics, CM Yadav also spoke about the state’s ongoing efforts for wildlife conservation.

“Slowly, new records of development are being achieved across all sectors in Madhya Pradesh. Our state is set to establish a new tiger sanctuary. The formalities for the Madhav Tiger Reserve are almost complete. This will be the ninth tiger reserve in the state, ensuring better conservation of wildlife in the Chambal region,” he said.

He also highlighted recent developments in the cheetah reintroduction project at Kuno National Park.

“I released five cheetahs, including three cubs born in India, into the wild at Kuno National Park on Wednesday. Two male cheetahs are already in the open wild, bringing the total number of free-roaming cheetahs to seven,” he added.

With the expansion of conservation initiatives, Madhya Pradesh continues to strengthen its reputation as a leader in wildlife protection and eco-tourism.
