Mouni Roy Opens Up About Being Misbehaved With At 21: “It Really Scarred Me For A Long Time”

Behind the glamour of Bollywood, many actors have spoken about uncomfortable encounters during their rise to fame. Joining that list, Mouni Roy recently shared a harrowing experience from when she was just 21 years old.

Speaking to Apoorva Mukhija on the talk show Spice It Up, Mouni said she never faced the casting couch, but did experience “badtameezi” (misbehaviour) early in her career.

“Casting couch toh nahi hua, but badtameezi hui hai,” Mouni revealed.
“I was 21-22 years old and had gone to someone’s office where a narration was being given. Suddenly, there was a scene where the girl falls into the swimming pool, loses consciousness, and the hero gives her mouth-to-mouth respiration.”

What happened next left her shocked.

“The man literally held my face and showed me mouth-to-mouth respiration. Uss 1 split second main mujhe samajh hi nahi aaya mere saath kya hua (I didn’t understand what happened with me in that split second). I started shaking and ran down. It really scarred me for a real long time.”

The actress did not disclose whether the individual involved was an actor, director, or casting agent, but said the experience left her deeply shaken.
