New Delhi [India]: Mother Dairy has announced an increase in the retail price of liquid milk by up to ₹2 per litre, effective Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The revised prices will apply in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
A company spokesperson stated the hike was driven by a sharp rise in procurement costs, which have surged by ₹4–₹5 per litre in recent months.
“This price revision has been necessitated to address the significant increase in procurement costs… primarily driven by the early onset of summer and heatwave conditions,” the spokesperson said.
Revised Prices:
- Toned milk (bulk vended): ₹56/litre (up from ₹54)
- Full cream milk: ₹69/litre (up from ₹68)
- Cow milk: ₹57/litre (up from ₹56)
- Double-toned milk: ₹51/litre (up from ₹49)
Mother Dairy noted that the price hike is essential to ensure continued payments to farmers and maintain product quality amid rising input costs.
