MoS Home Nityanand Rai: No Glitches In Delhi Traffic Police Online Payment Module

New Delhi [India], April 2: Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai clarified on Wednesday that there are no ongoing issues with the online payment module on the Delhi Traffic Police website.

Online Challan Payment Working Smoothly

Responding to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Rai dismissed claims that the Delhi Traffic Police’s online challan payment system was plagued with glitches.
“The webpage to settle the challan online is hosted on the official website of the Delhi Traffic Police. In the event of any technical glitch, such issues are promptly reported to the technical team for resolution at the earliest,” he stated in a written reply.

He also assured that payments made on the website are reflected in real-time, and challans are successfully updated without delays.

Promotion of Hindi in Official Work

Earlier in the day, Nityanand Rai emphasized the Ministry of Home Affairs’ (MHA) efforts to promote Hindi in government offices. He reiterated the commitment to ensuring compliance with the Official Language Resolution of 1968.

“The Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, is striving to ensure compliance with constitutional and legal provisions while accelerating the progressive use of Hindi in official government work,” Rai stated.

He added that an annual programme is issued each year to set targets for Hindi usage in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

Modernisation of Paramilitary Forces

In another written reply, Rai addressed Rajya Sabha MP Ratanjit Pratap Narayan Singh’s query regarding modernization efforts to enhance the operational efficiency, training, and equipment of India’s paramilitary forces.

Rai detailed that the approval aims to upgrade the operational capabilities of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Assam Rifles (AR), and the National Security Guard (NSG).

The initiative seeks to transform these forces into tech-savvy, well-trained, and professionally equipped units, incorporating modern technology, advanced weaponry, and state-of-the-art equipment to improve their mission readiness for both domestic security operations and border protection.
