Moradabad Railway Stations Illuminate Tricolours, Honour Soldiers Following Operation Sindoor

Multiple railway stations under the Moradabad division have been lit up with tricolour lights and are playing patriotic songs to honour the contributions of soldiers involved in Operation Sindoor. Special waiting rooms and benches have also been allocated for soldiers and their families as a mark of respect.

Aditya Gupta, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of Moradabad Railway, told media, “Major stations, including Moradabad and Bareilly, have been lit in tricolour after Operation Sindoor to recognise the contribution of the army and various establishments for the valour they have exhibited.”

Gupta further explained the special arrangements for soldiers, stating, “We have allotted special benches and a waiting room for the families of soldiers and soldiers themselves in their respect. This is a way of paying tribute to the army. The public announcement systems and LED TV visuals are being used to play songs related to patriotism, reflecting contributions of the armed forces.”

Operation Sindoor was launched by India on May 7 as a decisive military response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. The Indian Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists linked to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Following Pakistan’s retaliatory cross-border shelling and attempted drone attacks, India launched coordinated strikes damaging radar infrastructure, communication centers, and airfields across 11 Pakistani airbases.

An understanding for cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan was announced on May 10, marking a pause in the conflict.
