‘Monster’ Season 4 In The Works, Will Reportedly Tackle Lizzie Borden Case

Los Angeles [US], July 8 : The chilling anthology series Monster is reportedly gearing up for its fourth season, with the new installment set to focus on the infamous Lizzie Borden case, according to Variety.

Although Netflix has not officially renewed Season 4, sources suggest that preparations are already underway for a potential fall 2025 shoot.

This news comes ahead of the highly anticipated third season, which is expected to premiere later in 2025. Season 3 will spotlight the gruesome crimes of Ed Gein, a serial killer who horrified America in the 1950s by not only murdering victims but also exhuming corpses to make furniture and clothing out of human remains. Charlie Hunnam is set to portray Gein, with Laurie Metcalf, Tom Hollander, and Olivia Williams also joining the cast.

Monster first premiered on Netflix in 2022 and was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The debut season, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, earned critical acclaim and widespread attention. Evan Peters’ portrayal of Dahmer won him a Golden Globe, while Niecy Nash received an Emmy for her performance as Glenda Cleveland. The season became the fourth most-watched in Netflix history.

The second season, released in September 2024, shifted focus to the Menendez brothers, adding another chilling chapter to the anthology.
