Los Angeles [US], July 7: Actor Molly McCann, known for her roles in Freelance and The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, is set to play a key role in the upcoming action-packed period thriller The Butler.
Joining McCann in the cast are veteran actors Jean Reno and Tom Hollander. Directed by Tom Edmunds, the film promises a gripping blend of high-stakes action and intense domestic drama, as reported by Variety.
Jean Reno takes the lead as a former World War I commando whose peaceful life is shattered when his buried past resurfaces, threatening everything he holds dear. The film is described as “a bold and visually arresting twist on the revenge thriller—merging kinetic action with the simmering drama of a household caught between loyalty and survival.”
The screenplay is co-written by Tom Edmunds and Craig McInnes, based on an original story by McInnes.
The Butler is produced by Christopher Tuffin, Amanda Delaplaine, Ari Novak, and Daniel-Konrad Cooper.
