Right-arm seamer Mohammed Siraj has begun training ahead of his domestic side Hyderabad’s Ranji Trophy second-round match against Vidarbha, scheduled to take place in Nagpur from January 30 to February 2.
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) shared a video on Instagram showcasing Siraj bowling in the nets. The post was captioned:
“Mohammed Siraj gets into gear for the upcoming #RanjiTrophy match between Hyderabad and Vidharbha!”
Recent Performances
Siraj was in top form during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series against Australia, where he claimed 20 wickets at an average of 31.15, with his best figures being 4/98. He was India’s second-highest wicket-taker and ranked fourth overall in the series.
Having made his ODI debut in 2019 against Australia, Siraj has since played 44 matches, taking 71 wickets with an economy rate of 5.18. His last ODI appearance was against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2024.
India’s Champions Trophy Squad
The BCCI announced the 15-member squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the ODI series against England. India’s matches will all be played in Dubai, with the tournament featuring eight teams and 15 matches.
