Narendra Modi Slams Indian National Congress In Gujarat, Accuses Opposition Of Spreading Fear Amid Global Crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Indian National Congress while addressing a public gathering in Vav Tharad, Gujarat. He accused the Opposition party of engaging in “political vulture-ism” and attempting to create panic among citizens at a time of global uncertainty triggered by tensions in West Asia.

‘India Stable Despite Global Fuel Crisis’

Highlighting the impact of the ongoing geopolitical situation on global fuel markets, the Prime Minister said countries around the world are grappling with rising diesel, petrol, and gas challenges.

“In difficult times, we must stand together,” Modi said, stressing that despite global disruptions, India has managed to maintain stability. He added that the country’s handling of the situation has helped avoid the kind of chaos seen elsewhere.

Accuses Congress of ‘Bread-and-Butter Politics’

Turning his focus to domestic politics, Modi criticised the Congress for allegedly prioritising political gains over national interest.

“Certain national parties are busy playing bread-and-butter politics on such serious issues. Leading them is the Congress,” he said, accusing the party of trying to divide the country during a sensitive period.

He further alleged that the Opposition is deliberately spreading misinformation to weaken public confidence.

“When the nation needs trust, Congress is spreading fear and rumours. They are trying to instigate people and create an atmosphere of panic,” the Prime Minister said.

‘Political Vultures’ Remark Sparks Political Heat

In one of his strongest remarks, Modi likened the Opposition’s approach to “political vultures,” accusing them of attempting to exploit the situation for electoral advantage.

“They want people to panic, stand in queues, and create chaos in the country,” he said, claiming that such tactics are aimed at destabilising public sentiment.

Swipe at Opposition Over AI Summit Reaction

The Prime Minister also referred to the recent AI Summit held in New Delhi, which he said received global recognition. He criticised Congress leaders for their reaction, suggesting frustration over being out of power.

“While the world praised India’s efforts, they were busy criticising and reacting negatively. Being out of power has pushed them into panic,” Modi added.
