MNS Leader’s Son Raheel Sheikh Booked For Drunk Driving And Threatening Mumbai Influencer Rajshree More

Raheel Sheikh, son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Vice President Javed Sheikh, has been booked for drink-driving, harassment, and issuing threats after ramming into Mumbai-based influencer Rajshree More’s car multiple times on Sunday night, allegedly while intoxicated and partially undressed.

The incident, which occurred between Goregaon and Andheri, sparked outrage after More shared a video of the ordeal on her Instagram, showing a disoriented man—allegedly Raheel—abusing, threatening, and attempting to intimidate her.

Influencer’s Account: “He was drunk, half-naked, and abusive”

Speaking to NDTV, Rajshree More said:

“The SUV driver rammed my car repeatedly. At first, I thought it was accidental, but then I realized I was being targeted. I entered a narrow lane near my house, where he continued to follow me.”

She said she spotted two constables, invited them into her car, and even then, her vehicle was rammed again.

“He was drunk and half-naked, pants slipping, hurling abuse and threats. He invoked his father’s name to intimidate the police and me. He kept saying, ‘You’ll pay for this,’” More alleged.

FIR Filed, No Arrest Yet

Mumbai Police have filed an FIR against Raheel Sheikh under the following sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS):

  • Section 79 – Gesture/act intended to insult the modesty of a woman
  • Section 281 – Rash and negligent driving
  • Sections 125 & 185 – Drunk driving

Despite the seriousness of the charges, Sheikh has not been arrested yet.

Background Tensions: Marathi Language Controversy

This incident follows recent backlash More faced from MNS supporters after she criticized their aggressive stance on the Marathi language issue. In a recent post, she condemned MNS workers for attacking a shopkeeper who allegedly didn’t speak Marathi, suggesting instead that Maharashtrians should be taught to “work hard.”

Social Media Reacts

The video posted by More has gone viral, with netizens calling for swift action, especially in light of the MNS’s history of intimidation. Many are demanding justice and accountability from political families, while others fear retaliation against More for speaking up.

💬 “When a woman with a following is this unsafe on Mumbai’s roads, what does it say about the rest of us?” — a comment on More’s Instagram post.
