Missile Debris Found in Rajasthan as India Responds to Pakistan’s Aggression with Targeted Strikes

Barmer (Rajasthan) [India] : Tensions escalated along the western border on Saturday as fragments of a projectile believed to be of Pakistani origin were discovered in Jaisalmer and Barmer districts of Rajasthan, prompting a high alert and deployment of security forces in the area.

Security personnel and local authorities confirmed that while no casualties have been reported, precautionary measures are in full effect. “We got the news early in the morning; there has been no damage to life. Army and police personnel are here,” said Sabhay Kumar, a local patwari, speaking to ANI.

The debris from suspected missile fragments was located in Gida Pareu area of Barmer and multiple sites in Jaisalmer, with the earliest impact recorded at 4:42 am. Witnesses described hearing loud sounds followed by flashes of light. “There was smoke rising from the site. Debris also fell near a temple and other nearby locations,” said Mohan Chowdhary, a resident.

In light of the incident, the district administration has declared a high alert, urging civilians to stay indoors. Police are making public announcements, warning people to avoid the debris and stay off the roads.

The projectile fragments reportedly fell near sensitive military installations, including the Uttarlai Air Force Station and Jalipa Military Station in Barmer, where previous instances of such threats have been met with rapid military response.

In a swift counteroffensive, the Indian Armed Forces launched precise strikes targeting key Pakistani military facilities, including command centres, radar sites, technical installations, and ammunition depots, marking a clear escalation in response to the unprovoked aggression along the western border and the Line of Control (LoC).

Despite the gravity of the situation, locals have expressed confidence in the Indian Army’s response, stating they feel secure due to the strong presence of military forces in the area.
