Bollywood actor Kajol has become the target of online body-shaming after her appearance at the trailer launch of her upcoming show, The Trial: Season 2. Dressed in a black bodycon dress, Kajol’s photos and videos from the event went viral, attracting a wave of unwanted and critical comments. In response, actor and television personality Mini Mathur has come out in strong support of her, criticizing the intrusive behavior of a paparazzo who shared a video of the actress.
The viral video, shared by a paparazzo account, prompted immediate speculation in the comments section about whether the actress was pregnant. This prompted Mini Mathur to comment on the post, condemning the intrusive nature of the video. “How dare you zoom in on her body?” she wrote. “She doesn’t owe you guys eternal youth. You don’t get to decide how she should look.” Her comments have since been widely shared and supported by fans online.
The trailer for The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha – Season 2 was recently unveiled, showcasing Kajol reprising her role as lawyer Noyonika Sengupta. The new season, directed by Umesh Bist, will also mark veteran actor-comedian Asrani’s OTT debut. The series is the official Hindi adaptation of the American legal drama The Good Wife and will begin streaming on September 19.
Beyond the series, Kajol is also preparing for her upcoming action thriller film Maharani, which also stars Prabhu Deva, Naseeruddin Shah, and Samyuktha.
