Millions Gather At Triveni Sangam For Maha Kumbh Snan On Magh Purnima

A massive gathering of devotees took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Wednesday to mark the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima during the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Massive Turnout at Maha Kumbh

📌 Over 48.83 million devotees have taken a dip so far.
📌 The total footfall at Mela grounds has reached 38.83 million, with Kalpwasis exceeding 10 million.
📌 Cumulative snan (holy bath) count since the festival began has crossed 462.5 million as of February 11, 2025.

Devotees Also Take Dip in Ayodhya’s Saryu River

Many pilgrims also performed the ritual bath in the Saryu River in Ayodhya and proceeded to visit the newly inaugurated Shree Ram Temple.

Monika, a devotee, praised the arrangements, saying:
“We have come here for the snan on Magh Purnima. The government has made really good arrangements. We are having a really nice experience…”

CM Yogi Adityanath Monitors the Event

🛑 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath monitored the Magh Purnima Snan from his office.
🛑 He extended his heartfelt wishes on social media platform X, saying:

“Hearty congratulations to all the devotees and residents of the state on the holy bathing festival Magh Purnima! Heartiest greetings to all the revered saints, religious leaders, Kalpvasis, and devotees who have come for the holy bath in the sacred Triveni in Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj today! May everyone’s life be filled with happiness, prosperity, and good fortune by the grace of Lord Shri Hari. May Mother Ganga, Mother Yamuna, and Mother Saraswati fulfill everyone’s wishes, this is my wish.”

The Largest Spiritual Gathering in the World

🌍 Maha Kumbh 2025 commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025) and is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering.
🌍 Devotees from across India and the world are participating.
🌍 The festival will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025.

With more auspicious bathing dates ahead, the footfall is expected to rise further in the coming days.
