Military Conflict Cannot Resolve Global Disputes, Says PM Modi While Addressing Ukraine and West Asia Wars

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reiterated India’s commitment to global peace, stressing that military confrontation alone cannot resolve international conflicts. His remarks came during a joint press conference with Alexander Stubb, the President of Finland.

Highlighting the ongoing Russia–Ukraine War and tensions in West Asia, the Prime Minister said the world is currently facing a period of instability and uncertainty. He emphasized that countries must rely on dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to international law to resolve disputes.

“Today, the world is passing through a phase of instability and uncertainty. From Ukraine to West Asia, conflict persists in many regions,” Modi said. He added that both India and Finland share a common belief in peaceful resolution mechanisms.

The Prime Minister further stated that no issue can be settled through military action alone. “Be it Ukraine or West Asia, we will continue to support every effort aimed at achieving a swift end to conflicts and restoring peace,” he said.

Modi also reaffirmed that India will continue to advocate diplomatic solutions and contribute to global initiatives that promote stability and dialogue.
