Washington [US], January 28: Miley Cyrus has expressed that she has no regrets about her past, sharing insights into her career and personal growth. In a recent Instagram video with Pamela Anderson, the singer-songwriter and actor discussed what she has learned over the years and how her journey has shaped who she is today.
Recalling her admiration for Anderson, Cyrus shared, “Ever since I was little, it was only Pam when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up. I would say you. And the whole thing. The tattoos, the hair, all of it. That’s all I wanted to do.” She also highlighted how Anderson’s evolution as an actor has been a source of inspiration. “I’ve had so many different pivots and evolutions… it always ends up coming back around to make the next stage of who we are. Something that’s more potent, something that’s more real.”
Anderson, who has faced her own share of ups and downs, shared her belief in embracing one’s past: “Sometimes you need to go do a little research and come back to your path.” She recalled a conversation with a director who told her to bring her past with her rather than letting go of it: “I’m not ashamed of my life. I don’t need to let anything go.”
Cyrus echoed Anderson’s sentiment, saying, “Funnily enough, when I look back, all the mistakes, anything I was unsure of or didn’t understand, I am so proud of every moment and now every stage of my life.” She added, “I would not go back and change anything, except a couple things I was wearing.”
The conversation came as Anderson’s performance in The Last Showgirl earned her a Golden Globe nomination but was notably absent from the 2025 Oscar nominations announced on January 23.
