New York [US], May 31: Beloved Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox took to Instagram to celebrate the birthday of his eldest child, Sam Michael Fox, with a heartfelt and humorous post.
The 63-year-old actor shared a playful photo of the two standing close together, with Fox pretending to punch Sam in the face. The lighthearted moment was paired with a touching caption:
“Happy Birthday, Sam… No better friend, brother, or son on the planet. Love you so much.”
Sam, 35, is Michael J. Fox’s only son. He and wife Tracy Pollan, to whom he has been married for over three decades, also share three daughters: twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, 30, and Esme, 23.
Fox’s post quickly drew love from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom praised his warm relationship with his children.
A Public Fight Against Parkinson’s
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, Fox has long been an outspoken advocate for research and awareness surrounding the condition. In January 2025, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden, a moment he shared with his entire family.
“On behalf of the million or so people living with Parkinson’s, and the millions more who love them… I am proud and honored to accept the Medal of Freedom,” he wrote on social media.
“No doubt I get the most attention in the PD community, but this is our fight… I still believe with all my heart we will eliminate Parkinson’s disease.”
Fox’s unwavering optimism and family-first mindset continue to inspire fans around the globe, with his latest post serving as another reminder of the tight-knit bond he shares with his children.
