Michael B. Jordan’s ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ Set For March 2027 Release

Washington [US] : Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced that Michael B. Jordan’s much-anticipated reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair will hit theatres on March 5, 2027, with an IMAX release also confirmed, according to Deadline.

Jordan not only stars in the film but also produces it through his production company, Outlier Society. He will be joined by Waves and Bones and All star Taylor Russell, who is reportedly set to craft a dynamic character of her own in the sleek heist thriller.

While specific plot details remain under wraps, the film continues the tradition of the previous versions, centering on a suave, wealthy protagonist who orchestrates high-stakes art thefts and is pitted against an investigator. The script is written by Drew Pearce, with earlier drafts by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson.

Produced by Patrick McCormick, Marc Toberoff, and Elizabeth Raposo, the film could potentially serve as the foundation for a new franchise of stylish thrillers.

The most recent adaptation, released in 1999 and starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, grossed USD 69.3 million domestically and USD 124.3 million worldwide.

Jordan’s star power continues to rise, following the success of his vampire thriller Sinners, co-starring Hailee Steinfeld and Li Jun Li.
