London [UK]: Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan made a surprise appearance at the London premiere of ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ on Thursday, May 15, to show his support for Tom Cruise, the iconic face of the long-running action franchise.
According to People, the 62-year-old Cruise was seen warmly hugging Jordan, and the two shared a brief, cheerful conversation before posing for photographs together on the red carpet.
Later in the evening, Jordan took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from the premiere. His heartfelt caption read:
“I was too young to see the first Mission: Impossible in the theater, but now I get a chance to watch the final one… in IMAX!!!! Much love @tomcruise.”
Cruise, in return, had previously shown support for Jordan’s upcoming film ‘Sinners’, directed by Ryan Coogler. The movie, a vampire horror story set in 1930s Mississippi, features Jordan in twin roles. Cruise had posted a photo of himself standing in front of a poster of Sinners, writing:
“Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!”
The latest Mission: Impossible film, touted as the final installment in the beloved series, premiered globally at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. Directed and co-written by Christopher McQuarrie, the film stars a powerful ensemble including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, and Angela Bassett.
In a special treat for fans, India will see an early release of the film on May 17, six days before the global theatrical release scheduled for May 23.
