Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 18: The cast and crew of ‘Metro… In Dino’, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, came together in Mumbai on Thursday evening to celebrate the film’s box office success.
The celebration, hosted by director Anurag Basu and T-Series, brought together key members of the production and acting team, including Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Pankaj Tripathi. Also in attendance were music composer Pritam, producers Bhushan Kumar, Shiv Chanana, and film distributor Anil Thadani.
The film, released on July 4, explores interconnected love stories of individuals across different age groups in a bustling metro city. Touted as a spiritual sequel to Basu’s 2007 film Life in a… Metro, it has resonated strongly with urban audiences for its emotional depth and relatable characters.
Earlier this week, Sara Ali Khan shared behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the audience’s love toward her character Chumki.
“Grateful, blessed, and so, so, so happy! Thank you for all the love you’ve given our film, and thank you for accepting and loving Chumki too,” she wrote.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the movie’s performance, noting:
“Metro… In Dino has managed to hold its ground remarkably well… The film has shown consistency through the weekdays and is headed for a promising second weekend. What’s working is the relatability—Anurag Basu’s storytelling has struck a chord.”
With an ensemble cast that also includes Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta, Metro… In Dino continues to receive positive word-of-mouth for its take on modern relationships, loneliness, and emotional healing in today’s fast-paced world.
