Mumbai, June 09 : The buzz around Metro… In Dino is growing stronger, and the makers are fuelling it further with music that tugs at the heartstrings. Following the release of the emotional Zamaana Lage, the film’s team unveiled a brand new track titled ‘Dil Ka Kya’ on Monday.
Sung by Raghav Chaitanya and composed by Pritam, the song is a modern-yet-nostalgic exploration of heartbreak and connection in a chaotic city. Written by Anurag Sharma, Dil Ka Kya captures the fragility of urban romance across the lives of four couples, hinting at love, longing, and inevitable separation.
Tribute, Tears, and Memories
Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro… In Dino is being hailed as the spiritual sequel to his 2007 classic Life in a… Metro. The film features a powerhouse ensemble cast: Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Saswata Chatterjee.
Konkona Sensharma, the only returning actor from the original, had an emotional moment on set. At a recent promotional event in Mumbai, director Anurag Basu revealed that Konkona broke down while filming a scene reminiscent of her earlier work with late actor Irrfan Khan, her co-star and close friend.
“She suddenly started crying. It reminded her of a scene from the first film. We all miss Irrfan. And KK too, whose voice lives on through Alvida and O Meri Jaan,” Basu said, paying tribute to the legendary singer KK, who passed away in 2022.
