Mel B Wedding at St. Paul’s Cathedral: Spice Girls Star Marries Rory McPhee in Iconic London Ceremony

The iconic Spice Girl tied the knot in a historic venue once graced by Princess Diana and Prince Charles; daughters served as bridesmaids and celeb guests cheered them on

London [UK], July 6 – Spice Girls legend Mel B wedding at St. Paul’s Cathedral became the weekend’s most heartwarming event, as the global pop star exchanged vows with longtime partner and hairstylist Rory McPhee on Saturday, July 5. The couple wed at The Crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, the very location where Princess Diana and Prince Charles were married in 1981, reported People.

The 50-year-old singer shared a heartwarming photograph on Instagram from the big day, capturing a tender moment between her and McPhee. Mel B wore a custom ivory gown designed by Josephine Scott, exuding elegance and grace. Later, she changed into a second dress by Justin Alexander for the grand celebration.

“Mel was a dream to work with, bringing her own sense of style to the occasion,” shared Caroline Black, owner of Evelie Bridal Boutique in London, who guided the star in selecting her wedding attire.

After the cathedral ceremony, the couple and their guests continued the festivities at a luxurious reception at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard — the tallest building in the United Kingdom.

The guest list was a star-studded affair. Celebrities including fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), supermodel Cara Delevingne, comedian Katherine Ryan, and fashion icon Daisy Lowe were in attendance.

Mel B’s three daughtersPhoenix (26), Angel (18), and Madison (13) — stood proudly by her side as bridesmaids, making the day even more special.

This marks Mel B’s third marriage. She has been vocal in the past about her experiences with domestic abuse, and in 2022, she was awarded an MBE by Prince William for her advocacy in raising awareness around domestic violence. This honor enabled her to marry at the historically significant St. Paul’s Cathedral, a privilege reserved for a select few.

“It’s a big deal because when you get married there — not many people are allowed to get married there. You have to be kind of special,” Mel B revealed in May during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Just a few weeks before the wedding, Mel B celebrated her bachelorette party by the sea, joined by 36 of her closest friends. Dressed in matching leopard-print swimsuits, the group danced in unison to Beyoncé’s “End of Time”, embodying Mel B’s signature fierce and fun spirit.
