A significant forest fire that had been raging along the Line of Control (LoC) in the remote Gurez valley of Bandipore, Jammu and Kashmir, was finally brought under control on Monday evening, according to local authorities.
The Battle Against the Blaze
The wildfire, which broke out in a challenging remote, mountainous area, had been a primary concern for authorities due to its rapid spread.
- Extent of Damage: Officials confirmed that the fire spread across an area of 20 to 30 hectares, severely affecting forested land and undergrowth before being contained.
