Marvel Unveils Trailer For ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’; Pedro Pascal Leads MCU’s Retro Reboot

Washington [US], April 18: Marvel Studios has officially released the trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, marking the much-anticipated debut of the iconic superhero team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing).

Set in a visually striking retro-futuristic 1960s Manhattan, the trailer reveals that the Fantastic Four operate as the only superheroes in this alternate-era version of New York. Marvel teased the release with the caption:

“Together. As a family. Marvel Studios’ #TheFantasticFour: First Steps arrives in theaters July 25.”

The post quickly drew excited reactions from fans online.

“We have a feeling this is going to be fantastic,” one fan commented.
“Looks great can’t wait…” added another.

Adding to the anticipation, the film introduces Galactus, the cosmic villain known for consuming entire planets, portrayed by Ralph Ineson, and Julia Garner as the enigmatic Silver Surfer.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the first official MCU entry for the superhero quartet since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. Unlike previous Marvel films, this installment promises a standalone story with no cameos from other MCU characters—offering a fresh, focused take on the legendary team.

This marks the franchise’s third big-screen iteration, following the 2000s films starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis, and the 2015 reboot with Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to premiere in theaters on July 25.
