Markaz Subhan Allah In Bahawalpur Flattened As India Destroys Terror HQs Under Operation Sindoor

In a decisive blow to Pakistan-based terror infrastructure, India’s missile strike under Operation Sindoor has completely destroyed the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headquarters in Bahawalpur, Pakistan — a key hub of radicalisation, training, and operational planning.

Markaz Subhan Allah, the nerve centre of JeM’s terror activities, was flattened in the early hours of Wednesday, as part of a coordinated tri-services offensive by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Located about 100 km inside Pakistan’s Punjab province, the Markaz has served as the operational headquarters of JeM since 2015.

The strike targeted the residences and offices of JeM leadership, including Masood Azhar, Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar, and Maulana Ammar, who have been linked to multiple terrorist plots on Indian soil, including the Pulwama attack of February 14, 2019. The facility was also used for religious indoctrination, arms training, and anti-India propaganda aimed at recruiting jihadi fighters.

Visuals accessed by Reuters post-strike showed the terror compound reduced to rubble, confirming the scale and precision of the operation.

At a press briefing in Delhi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh detailed the mission objectives:

“A total of nine terror sites were hit, including four in Pakistan — Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, and Mehmoona Joya — and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK),” said Colonel Qureshi.

“Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur — the JeM HQ — was specifically targeted and destroyed,” she confirmed.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh added:

“This was a retaliatory strike in response to the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, where multiple innocent civilians were killed. The Indian response aimed to neutralise those directly involved in terror planning and training.”

She also revealed intelligence inputs had identified 21 major terror hubs in Pakistan and PoJK, comprising recruitment, indoctrination, and launch pad centres.

“We selected targets with utmost precision to avoid civilian casualties and limit collateral damage,” Singh emphasized.

The strike window — between 1:05 am and 1:30 am on May 7 — marked one of the most coordinated military counter-terror operations by India in recent years, showcasing joint tri-service planning and pinpoint targeting capabilities.

Operation Sindoor has significantly disrupted JeM and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) capabilities, sending a clear message about India’s zero tolerance policy towards cross-border terrorism.
