Mark Ruffalo Reportedly In Talks To Return As The Hulk In ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

Get ready, Marvel fans! Mark Ruffalo is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as The Incredible Hulk in the upcoming film, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. This news comes as Sony Pictures builds anticipation for the fourth Spider-Man installment, set to hit theaters in 2026.

What We Know So Far

On National Spider-Man Day (August 1), Sony Pictures released an 8-second teaser video, giving fans a tantalizing glimpse of a new Spidey suit. The video showcased a classic red-and-blue suit with raised black webbing and a subtle black spider emblem, strongly resembling the iconic costume from the comics. This look was briefly seen at the end of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021), and fans are excited to see it return.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, will see Tom Holland back as Peter Parker. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also set to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned, respectively. Additionally, ‘Stranger Things’ star Sadie Sink has been cast in a new, undisclosed role, adding another layer of mystery to the project.

While plot details remain a closely guarded secret, the potential inclusion of Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk is a major talking point. Ruffalo has a long history with Marvel, having appeared in numerous projects, including the ‘Avengers’ films, ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ and ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.’

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.
