Gonda (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), attributing its defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections to corruption and deception.
Tiwari’s Remarks on AAP’s Downfall
Speaking to media, Tiwari stated:
“Arvind Kejriwal has been out of power due to corruption, a criminal mindset, and the intention to deceive. BJP has come to power in Delhi due to the vision of development and PM Modi’s guarantee. PM Modi has become a symbol of trust among the people…”
CAG Report Set to Be Tabled in Delhi Assembly
Tiwari also mentioned the long-delayed Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports, which he claimed were withheld by Kejriwal’s government and are now set to be presented in the Delhi Assembly under the newly-formed BJP-led administration headed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
“The CAG report that Kejriwal had withheld for so long will be presented in the Delhi Assembly in the coming days. We aim to make Delhi better…” he said.
CAG Reports Highlight Key Government Assessments
ANI has accessed a list of critical audits and assessments included in the CAG reports, covering various government sectors and initiatives. The delay in presenting these reports had previously raised concerns about transparency and accountability in the AAP-led Delhi government.

According to sources, four of the fourteen reports are Finance Accounts and Appropriation Accounts prepared by the Controller of Accounts for the Delhi government (2021-22 and 2022-23).
Political Implications
With these reports set to be tabled, the BJP-led government in Delhi is likely to intensify scrutiny of AAP’s past governance, further fueling the ongoing political rivalry between the two parties.
