Manoj Tiwari Launches Sanskrit Sambhashan Shivir Abhiyan In Delhi, Urges Citizens To Embrace Ancient Language

BJP Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwari has expressed his heartfelt admiration for Sanskrit, calling it a language that has profoundly shaped his life. He made these remarks while speaking at the launch of the Sanskrit Sambhashan Shivir Abhiyan, a massive language outreach campaign jointly organized by Sanskrit Bharati and the Delhi Sanskrit Academy.

The campaign, which will run from April 23 to May 3, 2025, aims to revive Sanskrit as a spoken language, with 1,008 free Sanskrit-speaking camps being held across Delhi.

“Sanskrit has had a deep impact on my life. Everyone should learn it. I urge all Delhi residents to take part in this initiative,” said Tiwari, describing the campaign as a “cultural renaissance.”

According to organisers, the 10-day programme will feature two-hour daily sessions for participants from all walks of life—no age, background, or educational qualifications required. The camps will be held in universities, colleges, gurukuls, temples, residential societies, and other public spaces across Delhi.

More than just language learning, the initiative aims to instill traditional Indian values and ethics rooted in Sanskrit literature and philosophy.

BJP MLA Kapil Mishra, present at the launch, hailed it as “a unique opportunity to connect with one’s roots.”
Jaiprakash Gautam, All India Organisation Minister of Sanskrit Bharati, said, “Sanskrit Saralam Api Cha Sarvesham”—Sanskrit is simple and belongs to everyone.

The grand finale of the campaign, Sanskrit Mahotsav, will be held on May 4, 2025, at the Delhi University auditorium, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the Chief Guest, accompanied by various cultural and political dignitaries.

This campaign stands as one of India’s largest efforts in recent times to reposition Sanskrit as a living, vibrant medium of cultural expression and dialogue.
