Hollywood Stunt: Man Proposes To Girlfriend At LA’s 71Above Restaurant with A Helicopter Flying Outside The Window

A video of an over-the-top marriage proposal in downtown Los Angeles has gone viral, displaying something that could only happen in Hollywood. The scene happened at the fancy restaurant 71Above, where a man got down on one knee while a helicopter flew just outside their table window.

Collin Rugg wrote that the famous Hollywood stunt pilot Robin Petgrave did the dramatic stunt.

The video, which had the words “she said yes” on top of it, showed the woman looking shocked and happy before hugging her lover. The big gesture got a round of applause from other people in the restaurant, which is famous for its stunning views of Los Angeles.

People on the internet are talking about it: impressive stunt or fake show?
The very unique proposal got a lot of different views on social media. Some people were delighted by how creative it was, while others critiqued how fancy it was.

The Show Got Good Reviews

A lot of people were impressed by how big and unique the occasion was, saying it was a “Hollywood-worthy” proposal.

“That’s how you raise the bar on proposals!” said one person. I love it when folks get creative with special events like this. The view from 71Above must have made it much better.

Another person added, “That’s cool and different to see; I hope she said yes!”

One person was so moved that they wrote, “If someone asked me to marry them like this, I would say yes right away.”

Confusion and Criticism

But a lot of the internet comment was about how expensive the helicopter was and how meaningless it seemed, which led to a discussion about the demands of making public suggestions that are too much.

Some people were doubtful and asked, “Okay, how much does this stunt cost?” “Wow!” and “That must have cost a lot!”

Critics said the stunt set “unrealistic expectations,” and one person said, “And now every woman has unrealistic expectations.” Social media keeps making people think badly of young people.

Some people were just bewildered about what the helicopter was for: “What’s the point of having it there?” What am I missing? Another person said, “This doesn’t make any sense and isn’t romantic at all.” I mean, why is the helicopter there in the first place? It’s overkill and stupid.

Even though people have different ideas about it, the sight of a helicopter in the background of a proposal has definitely made the moment one of the most memorable public displays in recent viral history.
