Thai Man Dies After Month-Long Beer-Only Diet Post-Divorce; 100+ Empty Bottles Found

Ban Chang, Thailand – A tragic event in Thailand’s Ban Chang district has led to the death of 44-year-old Thaweesak Namwongsa. After his divorce, he reportedly drank nothing but beer for a month because he was so upset. His 16-year-old son found him dead in a horrific situation with more than 100 empty beer bottles.

The Daily Mail says that Namwongsa, who is divorced and has one child, has been living with his teenage son since he and his wife split up. The sad adolescent told the authorities that even though he tried every day to cook and provide his father hot meals, Namwongsa always refused to eat and instead drank beer to stay alive.

Son Finds Out About Father’s Sad Death

The youngster came home from school one day to find his father lying unconscious in their bedroom, as if he had had a seizure. This was a very upsetting finding. The Siam Rayong Foundation’s paramedics were called to the spot right away. But by the time help got there, Thaweesak Namwongsa had already died.

Emergency workers said the bedroom was a terrible sight, with more than 100 empty beer bottles lying around on the floor. Reports say that there were so many bottles that only little paths had been cleared, which made it possible for Namwongsa to go in and out of his bed. The Daily Mail said that this excessive and exclusive drinking probably had a big part in his unexpected collapse and death.

Autopsy to Find Out the Official Cause of Death

The exact cause of death has not yet been formally confirmed by the authorities. There will be an autopsy later this week to get the final answers. However, early evidence and the son’s testimony strongly show that Namwongsa’s long-term and severe alcohol abuse played a big role in the unfortunate event. His son said that following the divorce, his father started drinking a lot and eventually stopped eating altogether, choosing to drink beer all the time instead.

the severe physiological effects of excessive alcohol drinking and the emotional toll of events like the death of a loved one or a breakup. This instance serves as a sharp reminder of the grave implications of both.
