Mysuru: A young married woman was found dead in a lodge room in Karnataka’s Mysuru district under mysterious circumstances. Her lover was arrested for trying to cover up the murder by calling it a “mobile blast.”
The police say the event happened on Saturday at a lodge in Bherya village, which is in Mysuru’s Saligrama taluk. The victim was a 20-year-old woman named Darshitha from the village of Gerasanahalli in Hunsur taluk. She was married to a man who lived in Kerala, but she was also seeing the accused, Siddaraju.
The terrible crime happened when Darshitha and Siddaraju got into a fight in their room. After the fight, Siddaraju is said to have put a “chemical powder combination” in her mouth, which killed her.
After the murder, the accused tried to trick lodge personnel and police by yelling that a cell phone had blown up. But when the crew ran to the room, they didn’t find a phone. Siddaraju said he had tossed the phone out the window when asked. The lodge staff quickly called the police since they were suspicious of his story.
“The victim was married to someone who lives in Kerala, but she was dating the person who was accused,” said Vishnuvardhan N., the Mysuru Superintendent of Police. We are looking into the murder’s motive more closely. The FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team is looking into the chemical powder mix he used to kill her to find out what it is.
Forensic specialists’ first assessments say that the accused may have used an electric detonator or some other kind of electrical power to cause the fatal injuries, which made her mouth bleed heavily. The police also found electric wires at the location.
The police apprehended Siddaraju after looking into the case and getting a confession from the suspect. The Saligrama police have opened a case and are looking at it further. The body of the victim was submitted for an autopsy to find out what killed them.
