Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Renowned folk singer Malini Awasthi visited Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, to take a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam as part of the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025.
Awasthi lauded the exceptional organization of the Maha Kumbh and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their efforts in managing the grand spiritual event.
A Sacred Experience at Maha Kumbh
Speaking to ANI, Awasthi emphasized the spiritual significance of the Kumbh beyond the holy dip.
“The aim of the devotees arriving at the Maha Kumbh should be to take the blessings of the saints in addition to taking a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam,” she said.
She also highlighted the global recognition of the event under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath.
“The message of the Maha Kumbh under the leadership of PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath went to the whole world that those who do not take a dip will be deprived of this good fortune, and as a result, a large number of people are coming to take a holy dip,” she added.
Kumbh Mela Attracts Prominent Figures
Malini Awasthi had previously taken a holy dip during the first Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh 2025 in January, coinciding with Makar Sankranti. She described the experience as “surreal,” appreciating the enthusiasm of devotees despite the cold weather.
“On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, when all of us took a holy dip at the Sangam, the feeling was surreal… In such cold weather, when people do not come out of their blankets, children and the elderly alike showed extreme enthusiasm by taking a dip in the Triveni. The management of the entire event has been extremely good,” she expressed.
Several prominent leaders and public figures have also visited the Kumbh Mela, including PM Narendra Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini.
CM Nayab Singh Saini, along with his family, participated in the holy dip at Triveni Sangam. Sharing his joy on social media, he wrote:
“Today I got the great fortune of taking a bath with my family in the holy confluence of Maa Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati at Prayagraj Mahakumbh.”
