Malayalam Actress Vincy Sony Aloshious Accuses Co-Star Of Drug Abuse And Misbehaviour On Film Set

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], April 16: Malayalam actress Vincy Sony Aloshious has come forward with serious allegations against a co-actor, claiming he misbehaved with her on a film set while allegedly under the influence of drugs.

Aloshious recently participated in an anti-drug awareness campaign, where she made headlines for stating that she would no longer work in films that cast actors known to use drugs. Her remarks sparked mixed reactions online, prompting her to post a clarification video on Instagram.

“Some days back at an anti-drug campaign, I said I wouldn’t work with people I know are using drugs,” she said in the video. “After reading the comments and criticism, I felt it was important to explain why I made that statement.”

The actress, known for her performances in Rekha, Vikruthi, and Jana Gana Mana, shared that during the making of a recent film, a male lead actor allegedly misbehaved with her and another colleague. Although she did not name the actor, she recounted several troubling incidents.

Recalling one such moment, she said, “When I had an issue with my dress and stepped away to fix it, he loudly said in front of everyone, ‘I’ll also come and correct it for you.’ It was humiliating and made it difficult to continue shooting.”

She also described witnessing the actor using a white powder on the film set, suggesting drug abuse. “While rehearsing a scene, he was spitting some kind of white powder onto the table. It was evident he was using drugs on set.”

Aloshious mentioned that although the director and production team were aware of the issue and even spoke to the actor, no action was taken because he was the lead in the film. “Everyone knew. But he was the main artist, so the film had to be completed,” she explained.

Despite her discomfort, Aloshious continued working on the project, but the experience left a lasting impact. Her recent remarks, she clarified, were not intended to generalize the industry but to take a stand based on her personal experience.

Her statement has sparked fresh conversations about workplace safety and accountability in the film industry.
