Malaika explained that the initial connection was a result of their professional lives. “It was actually my sister. Amu (Amrita Arora) and Bebo (Kareena Kapoor), they were very good friends. They did films together,” she shared. The actresses, who also met through common friends, found that they had a lot in common.
The friendship truly blossomed and grew stronger after Amrita and Kareena collaborated on films like Golmaal Returns (2008) and Kambakkht Ishq (2009).
