Washington [US], March 19: Universal Pictures has announced that actress Maika Monroe will star in the upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel Reminders of Him. Directed by Vanessa Caswill, the film is set to begin production soon.
Reminders of Him tells a touching story about motherhood, forgiveness, and the transformative power of love, which has the ability to heal even the most broken hearts. The screenplay for the film was written by Colleen Hoover and Lauren Levine, who also co-produce the project through their production company, Heartbones Entertainment.
Maika Monroe, who recently gained widespread attention for her stellar performance in the hit horror thriller Longlegs, will take on the lead role in the adaptation. Her performance in Longlegs set box-office records for an indie distributor and earned her A-list recognition.
Colleen Hoover, a New York Times Number 1 bestselling author, is renowned for works like It Ends with Us, It Starts with Us, Layla, Heart Bones, Confess, and Verity. Her novel Reminders of Him has sold over 6 million copies in the United States and is a global bestseller.
Christine Sun, Director of Production Development at Universal Pictures, will oversee the project.
