On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu unveiled the teaser for the ambitious pan-India film Nagabandham – The Secret Treasure. Directed by Abhishek Nama, the teaser offers a dialogue-free, visually stunning glimpse into a world where 18th-century history meets ancient Indian mythology.
The film is slated for a grand release in the Summer of 2026 across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The Plot: History Meets “The Secret Treasure”
Set primarily in 1750, the narrative blends the historical brutality of the Afghan invasion with the spiritual mystery of a hidden Himalayan temple.
- The Conflict: The story follows the ruthless Afghan Sultan Ahmad Shah Abdali (played by Rishabh Sawhney) and his quest to unearth the legendary Nagabandham—a mystical cosmic force hidden deep within a secret temple.
- The Guardian: Virat Karrna plays the chosen warrior tasked with protecting this ancient treasure from human greed. The teaser culminates in his fierce transformation into a Lord Shiva-inspired avatar, symbolizing divine fury.
- The Core Theme: The film’s soul is captured by the recurring chant: “Born from Brahma’s Creation… Guarded by Vishnu’s Dharma… Powered by Mahadev’s Fury.”
