Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi and Vicky Kaushal joined millions of devotees at Mahakumbh 2025, taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Vivek Oberoi Expresses Gratitude
Accompanied by his family, Vivek Oberoi expressed appreciation for the Uttar Pradesh government for the seamless arrangements made for the Mahakumbh.
“We have come here to thank God… I want to thank the Government of India, especially the Uttar Pradesh administration, for their efforts. It feels immensely proud that the world’s biggest festival is being celebrated so beautifully in our country,” said Oberoi.
Vicky Kaushal’s Visit Before ‘Chhaava’ Release
Actor Vicky Kaushal also visited Mahakumbh ahead of the release of his historical drama ‘Chhaava’ on February 14.
“I am feeling good. I was eagerly waiting to visit Mahakumbh. I feel fortunate to have received this opportunity,” said Kaushal.
Massive Turnout at Mahakumbh 2025
According to Uttar Pradesh government officials, over 1.47 million devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on Thursday alone.
- Among them, 5 lakh are Kalpavasis, while 9.79 lakh are pilgrims participating in the grand event.
- As of February 12, the total count of devotees who have taken a dip in the Triveni waters has surpassed 482.9 million, marking a significant milestone.
Mahakumbh 2025: The World’s Largest Spiritual Gathering
Mahakumbh 2025, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is regarded as the largest spiritual and cultural gathering in the world, attracting devotees from across the globe.
The sacred event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025.
