Mahakumbh 2025 Set to Be Historic: Grand Arrangements and Spectacular Drone Show Planned

Uttar Pradesh Prepares for a Grand Mahakumbh with 2,000-Drone Show, Laser Displays, and Unique Attractions

Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh), December 29: Uttar Pradesh Minister Jaiveer Singh announced that Mahakumbh 2025 is set to be a historic and grand event, with unprecedented arrangements and preparations underway to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.

“The Maha Kumbh will be historic, amazing, grand, and divine. A new record will be set in the world. Strict arrangements have been made, and no one will face any problems,” Singh told media.

A Grand Drone Show to Light Up the Skies

One of the major highlights of Mahakumbh 2025 will be a breathtaking drone show featuring 2,000 drones at Sangam Nose during the opening and closing ceremonies.

District Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh explained that the drone show will narrate mythological tales linked to Prayagraj and Mahakumbh, such as the legendary Samudra Manthan (Ocean Churning) and the emergence of the Amrit Kalash (Nectar Pot).

“A fleet of around 2,000 illuminated drones will bring to life the legendary tales of ‘Prayag Mahatmyam’ and the Mahakumbh, creating a magical visual narrative in the evening skies,” she said.

Exciting Experiences Await Visitors

The Mahakumbh 2025, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, is set to offer an unparalleled spiritual and cultural experience. Under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has planned several innovative attractions, including:

  • Floating Restaurants
  • Water Activities on the Yamuna River
  • Hot Air Balloon Rides
  • Laser Light Shows

Starting early January, visitors can also enjoy a musical fountain laser show on the Yamuna River at Kali Ghat, promising a mesmerizing and unforgettable visual experience.

Final Preparations Underway

With preparations in full swing, authorities are working tirelessly to ensure safety, convenience, and world-class facilities for millions of pilgrims and tourists expected to attend.

The Mahakumbh, held every 12 years, is not just a religious gathering but a global cultural phenomenon, drawing millions from across the world. The 2025 edition aims to set new benchmarks in organization, innovation, and cultural presentation, solidifying its status as one of the largest human gatherings on Earth.
