Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], February 25: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday praised Madhya Pradesh for becoming a major investment hub, particularly in agriculture, as the state’s two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 was hailed as a resounding success. He urged investors to seize the opportunity and focus on agricultural investments, given the state’s immense potential.
During his participation in a session on horticulture, Chouhan highlighted the fast-paced investments in the state, reinforcing its growing reputation as a favorable destination for investors. “Madhya Pradesh has become a favourite place for investors, and today, investments are happening at a very fast pace in the state,” he told.
The Union Minister also commended Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for the successful conduct of the summit. He urged the global business community to invest in the agriculture sector, emphasizing its importance for the state’s growth and development.
In response, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared that the state was receiving a response even better than expected. He described the current moment as the perfect opportunity to capitalize on Madhya Pradesh’s natural resources for the welfare of its people, especially farmers, youth, women, and the poor. Yadav stated, “For the betterment of the state, for the betterment of the poor, farmers, youth, and women, the only way was to have a Global Investor Summit. By capitalizing on these opportunities on the strength of its systems, Madhya Pradesh is becoming strong.”
Additionally, Yadav revealed plans to double the state’s economy within the next five years. This ambitious vision was met with optimism from foreign investors, including Morocco’s Ambassador Mohamed Maliki, who lauded the state’s agricultural prowess. Maliki referred to Madhya Pradesh as a “success story” in agricultural investments and stressed the potential for future cooperation, particularly in the fields of food security and agriculture.
With this momentum, the GIS 2025 is expected to lay a strong foundation for Madhya Pradesh’s future as a global investment and agricultural powerhouse.
