Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], February 24: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal on Monday, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his speech, he announced that the state government plans to double the state’s economy over the next five years.
CM Yadav expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to host the summit with PM Modi’s presence, emphasizing the tremendous development and investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. He cited PM Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas,” and reiterated the state’s commitment to playing a significant role in achieving the national target of a 35 trillion-dollar economy by 2047.
“The state government has set an ambitious goal to double the economy of Madhya Pradesh in the next 5 years,” said Yadav.
In his address, CM Yadav highlighted the introduction of 18 new policies aimed at fostering investment within the state, as well as the efforts made to connect with industries both domestically and internationally. He mentioned that regional industrial conclaves had been held across various cities in Madhya Pradesh, with additional roadshows in Mumbai, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru, and Delhi, as well as in the UK, Japan, and Germany.
The Chief Minister further outlined efforts to introduce eco-friendly investment policies and improve the single-window system with the passing of the Jan Vishwas Adhiniyam, ensuring transparency in the investment process.
“2025 will be celebrated as the ‘Industry and Employment’ year, and after the GIS, we will organize summits in six different sectors to encourage industrial growth,” he added.
The summit is drawing participation from several prominent business leaders, including Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group; Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group; Nadir Godrej, Chairman and MD of Godrej Industries; Piruz Khambatta, Group Chairman of Rasna; Baba N Kalyani, Chairman and MD of Bharat Forge; Rahul Awasthi, Global Head of Operations at Sun Pharmaceuticals; and Neeraj Akhoury, CEO of ACC Limited.
With strong global interest in the summit, several international trade and investment promotion agencies have also confirmed their participation, reflecting Madhya Pradesh’s growing importance as a key investment hub.
The GIS-2025 summit is expected to drive substantial economic growth in Madhya Pradesh by facilitating valuable partnerships with international and domestic industry leaders, enhancing the state’s position on the global investment map.
