Madeleine McGraw Joins Cast Of Supernatural Thriller SuperUnknown

Washington DC [US], July 15: Rising star Madeleine McGraw is set to join the cast of the upcoming coming-of-age supernatural thriller SuperUnknown, written by Chris and Charlie Frazier and directed by The Brothers Riedell, according to Deadline.

Filming for the project will take place in New Mexico. The story centers around a high school student who uncovers a dark family secret—a supernatural creature hidden by his parents. As the creature escapes and wreaks havoc on their suburban town, the teen and his bandmates must unite to stop it.

While details of McGraw’s role remain under wraps, she is also serving as an executive producer on the film. Producers Scott MacLeod and Courtney Blythe Turk are backing the project.

McGraw is best known for her standout performances in horror titles such as The Black Phone (2021), which earned her a Saturn Award nomination for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. She also starred in Outcast (2016–2018), The Mandela Effect (2019), and most recently The Curse of the Necklace (2024) alongside her sister, Violet McGraw.

She is set to reprise her role in The Black Phone 2, releasing in October 2025, and appeared as a young Van Dyne in the second season of Marvel’s What If…? (2023). Earlier this year, McGraw was honored with the CinemaCon Rising Star of 2025 Award.

Directors Chris and Nick Riedell are known for their previous works Camp Takota, Bad Night, and A Nice Girl Like You, a romantic comedy starring Lucy Hale.
