New Delhi [India], April 12: Popular singer King, best known for his chart-topping hit Maan Meri Jaan, is set to electrify the crowd with a live performance ahead of the much-anticipated IPL 2025 face-off between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday evening at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium.
The news was shared on the official Instagram handle of IPL 2025, building excitement for the high-octane clash that also marks DC’s first home game of the season.
DC, currently on a winning spree with four consecutive victories, will aim to continue their unbeaten run and stay atop the points table. In contrast, MI, the five-time champions, have had a tough start to the season with just one win in five matches, placing them eighth in the standings.
Ahead of the game, DC batter Ashutosh spoke at a pre-match press conference, emphasizing his simple yet effective batting philosophy.
“I do not think too much. I keep things simple. It is just about watching the ball and hitting the ball. That is all; that is my belief,” he said, according to a DC press release.
He also praised Axar Patel’s captaincy, saying,
“Axar Patel’s captaincy is very good. He is leading the team really well, and all the youngsters are very comfortable within the set-up, so we are able to talk to each other freely.”
Reflecting on his experience in the team, Ashutosh added,
