Washington [US], April 3: Universal Pictures stunned audiences at CinemaCon with the first look at ‘M3GAN 2.0’, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 horror hit, ‘M3GAN.’
According to Deadline, the exclusive trailer—preceded by a chilling dance performance by a troupe of Megans—sets the stage for a high-tech battle between two powerful AI-driven entities: M3GAN and Amelia, a military-grade robotic adversary.
Plot Teases a Terrifying AI Duel
The trailer opens with M3GAN (voiced by Jenna Davis) acknowledging flaws in her initial programming. However, things take a darker turn when Amelia, an even more advanced and lethal AI, emerges. Developed using the same groundbreaking technology, Amelia quickly evolves, becoming self-aware and dangerously hostile toward humans.
Fearing the worst, Gemma (Allison Williams), M3GAN’s original creator, is forced to resurrect and upgrade M3GAN, pitting the two AI women against each other in a battle that could determine humanity’s fate.
