New Delhi [India]: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla arrived at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Tuesday to inaugurate a two-day orientation program designed to train MLAs for improved governance and public welfare initiatives.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta welcomed Birla upon his arrival. Prominent figures including Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma, BJP MPs Harsh Malhotra and Kamaljeet Sehrawat, along with Delhi Leader of Opposition Atishi, were also present.
Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta emphasized the significance of the training program:
“A two-day orientation program has been organised for all the MLAs to train them to work better to resolve issues related to public welfare.”
BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat added:
“The orientation program aims to guide MLAs on the effective execution of plans that benefit the public.”
The event will feature prominent addresses, including a Key Note Address by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and a Welcome Address by Speaker Vijender Gupta.
The program will also include speeches from Delhi Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh and Delhi LoP Atishi, along with a Vote of Thanks by Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht.

The orientation program comes ahead of the Delhi Assembly’s Budget session, scheduled from March 24 to 28, with the Budget presentation on March 25.
