LPG Price Hike: Commercial Cylinder Rates Increase, Domestic Prices Unchanged

New Delhi [India], December 1: Oil marketing companies have once again raised the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, with the new rates taking effect immediately.

The cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹16.50, bringing the retail sale price in Delhi to ₹1,818.50. Additionally, the prices of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders have risen by ₹4.

However, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, providing some relief to households.

Impact on Businesses:

The price revision is expected to significantly affect commercial establishments, such as restaurants, hotels, and small businesses, which rely heavily on LPG for daily operations. This hike follows a similar increase last month when the price of a 19 kg cylinder rose by ₹62.

Global Market Influence:

The adjustments are part of a broader trend of fluctuating fuel prices in response to volatile global market conditions. The international energy market’s instability continues to influence domestic fuel pricing policies.

While businesses bear the brunt of the hike, the unchanged domestic cylinder rates provide some respite for households amidst the ongoing economic pressures.
