Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: The highly anticipated series ‘Panchayat’ is back with its fourth season, and during the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES), the show dropped its first-look teaser.
On Saturday, Prime Video took to Instagram to share the teaser, along with the caption: “Phulera mein elections ki garma-garmi shuru hone wali hai. #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, July 2.” The teaser provides a glimpse of the rising tension in the Phulera village as the election season kicks off, with a clash between key characters—Pradhan Ji, Bhushan, Manju Devi, and Kranti Devi (Bhushan’s wife)—as they battle for leadership.
Fans can expect the intense political drama to unfold as the race for power heats up.
The fourth season of Panchayat features familiar faces, including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and others. The show is produced by The Viral Fever, written by Chandan Kumar, and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya.
The third season of Panchayat, released on OTT in May last year, dove deeper into village politics and corruption, with the focus on elections and the villagers’ struggle, particularly concerning the lack of a proper road. The season also explored profound themes such as grief, community, and unity.
