Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: The makers of the highly anticipated film ‘L2: Empuraan’, starring Mohanlal, have finally unveiled its much-awaited trailer ahead of its theatrical release on March 27.
Adding to the excitement, ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Jerome Flynn will make his Indian cinema debut with this film, which has been shot across various international locations, as revealed in the trailer.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, ‘L2: Empuraan’ follows the success of its first installment, released in 2019. The star-studded cast includes Tovino Thomas, Abhimanyu Singh, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Manju Warrier, among others.
The trailer hints at a gripping socio-political drama, with Mohanlal’s character, Khureshi-Ab’raam, at the center of the narrative. Known for his powerful screen presence, Mohanlal’s portrayal promises intensity and intrigue as the film explores Khureshi’s past and a political power struggle.
Notably, ‘L2: Empuraan’ will become the first-ever Malayalam film to be released in IMAX. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu.
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies, the film’s screenplay is penned by Murali Gopy.
